The Impact of the HR1 Reconciliation Act on Health Care

Maryland Philanthropy Network’s Health Funders Affinity Group is pleased to host Vinny DeMarco, President of the Maryland Health Care for All Coalition (HCFA) to share HCFA’s plans for protecting health care coverage, including Medicaid, in Maryland and how Maryland is making high-cost prescription drugs more affordable. He will offer opportunities for funders to support our state’s response to the evolving health funding and policy changes caused by the federal government through the passage of the Reconciliation Act on July 4, 2025. 

Maryland Philanthropy Network aims to provide a space for our members to stay connected and share insights. Glenn Schneider, Chief Program Officer at the Horizon Foundation, will give an update on the Medicaid Advocacy Coalition he is leading, strengthened through united voices. There will be time for members to discuss strategies to support the affected organizations serving in the health sector and to coordinate and follow funding priorities and collaborative opportunities.
