Nine Maryland Organizations Included Among Recent Grantees of Yield Giving

Established by MacKenzie Scott to share a financial fortune created through the effort of countless people, Yield Giving is named after a belief in adding value by giving up control. 

From a pool of over 6,000 applicants, 361 community-led non-profits were elevated by peer organizations and a round-2 evaluation panel for their outstanding work advancing the voices and opportunities of individuals and families of meager or modest means, and groups who have met with discrimination and other systemic obstacles. Nine nonprofit organizations serving Maryland communities received a total of $18M from Yield Giving in its latest round of funding. These join twenty one other organizations that she has supported since 2020 - for a total of $199.8M invested in Maryland.
