Community Foundation Partners with Frederick County Government to Support Local Food Programs
The Community Foundation of Frederick County is partnering with Frederick County to launch a new grant program called Frederick FEED: Food Equity and Emergency Distribution. The County will provide $1 million in one-time emergency funding to strengthen food distribution efforts in the community.
The Frederick FEED Grant Program will be open to existing food banks, pantries, religious organizations, and nonprofits operating within Frederick County. Grants awarded may be used to support food distribution efforts and for equipment purchases for food operations.
The Community Foundation will oversee the competitive grant process and fund distribution. The funds will be distributed in two rounds with the first application open now through Dec. 21 and a second round expected to open in early 2026.
