Baltimore County creates COVID-19 emergency response fund

Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski on Tuesday announced the launch of the Baltimore County COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund, which he says will support residents and promote public health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fund will be managed by the Baltimore Community Foundation, a local foundation that manages more than 800 philanthropic funds and $173 million in assets. Olszewski said county officials will determine how the fund is allocated. He did not put a dollar amount on it, but instead offered information on how to donate.
