Baltimore Community Foundation 2017 Neighborhood Grants Program Recipients

Our Neighborhood Grants Program offers funding for projects that help neighborhoods in Baltimore City and Baltimore County become and remain safe, vibrant, clean and green, and to be supporters and champions of their local schools. 

In 2017, BCF awarded 25 organizations with funding totaling $108,000 to complete a range of projects – from the improvement of community gardens to organizing community festivals. 

The review process included included donors, professional advisors, leaders from community organizations and BCF staff. Applications came from resident-led groups from across Baltimore City and County.

2017 NGP recipients: 

Building Arts And Minds, Inc.- $4,000 for Community Sign Mosaic at Patterson High School. 

The C.A.R.E Community Maryland Philanthropy Network - $4,025 for the Connections Thru Community Signage project.

The COMET Foundation - $4,000 for the Community Outreach Program series.

At the House - $4,389.12 for The Rebirth of Our Neighborhoods project. 

Dunbar Brooks Education Foundation - $3,800 for the Summer Empowerment Camp.
