Associated Black Charities On Behalf of City Opens RFP For Baltimore Children and Youth Fund

We are excited to announce that we are one step closer to distributing grants from the Baltimore Children and Youth Fund! Baltimore City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young introduced the legislation to create the $12 million Fund and voters approved it via referendum in 2016. The Fund is a historic initiative aimed at improving conditions and opportunities for Baltimore children, youth and young adults under the age of 24.

Following a comprehensive community design and implementation planning process, during which Baltimore residents weighed in on the direction and Year 1 priorities of the fund, Associated Black Charities, on behalf of the Baltimore City Mayor & City Council, is now ready to accept Requests for Proposals (RFP) for the Fund’s first round of grant awards.

Click here to access the Fund’s Year 1 Request for Proposals. Proposals will be accepted starting today through Monday, July 9, 2018 (11:59pm EST).

If your organization spearheads work in support of Baltimore children and youth, we hope that you’ll consider submitting a proposal. Even if you have limited experience with preparing and submitting grant proposals, we still strongly encourage you to apply! Members of the Fund’s planning team will host grant informational sessions on June 11, 2018 (in-person) and June 13, 2018 (via webinar). The Planning Team will additionally host a series of community-based technical assistance workshops that will provide interested applicants with hands-on support and guidance around understanding application requirements and assembling and submitting proposals.
