Webinar: Introduction to Program-Related Investing

This series introduces key concepts, discusses critical questions, and details the steps to establishing an effective PRI program. The program is for trustees and staff from foundations that are considering or getting started making program-related investments, as well as forindividuals who want to learn more about social investing. Each webinar will feature an experienced PRI maker who will share examples of how foundations of various types and sizes expand their capacity and impact through social investments.

Registration is $25 per webinar or $75 for all four sessions (one registration fee covers all individuals in your organization that wish to participate). Participation in all four sessions is recommended but not required.

This session will address the following topics:

  • Creating alignment with mission and values
  • Securing agreement from trustees, staff and advisers
  • Balancing internal capacity and external resources
  • Establishingpolicies and procedures

Part III: Developing A PRI Strategy 
Wednesday, April 13; 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. ET

This session will address the following topics:

  • Determining program focus and scope
  • Adapting programs according to size and capacity
  • Legal,accounting and investment management requirements

Part IV: Program Management
Wednesday, May 11; 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. ET

This session will address the following topics:

  • Finding and evaluating investment opportunities
  • Due diligence, monitoring and evaluation
  • Lessons learned by PRI practitioners
