Ready by 21: A Broad Agenda for Foster Care Youth

Ready by 21: A Broad Agenda for Foster Care Youth

Tuesday, April 26, 2011, 9:00 - 10:30 AM

As a follow-up to a conversation begun at the Baltimore City Leaders Budget Briefing, please join Molly McGrath, Director of Baltimore City Department of Social Services, and Karen Sitnick, Director of Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Employment Development for a presentation of the Ready by 21 plan – an effort to ensure that the 4,200 Baltimore City children in foster care have the opportunities and supports they need to succeed; beginning with a coordinated employment plan for this summer.

This is a follow-up meeting to the City Department Leaders 2011 Budget Briefing (February 2) at which several members asked to explore ways that government and philanthropy could align funding to support children in foster care and youth transitioning out of foster care.
