Philanthropic Seminar: Positive Deviance

Philanthropic Seminar: Positive Deviance

Wednesday, February 16, 2011, 8:30 - 9:00 AM

In the past decade, corporate change management experts seized upon an international, public health practice – positive deviance – identifying the people already doing things different and better and encouraging others to copy them.  Please join your fellow deviants for reading and discussion of applying positive deviance to our area nonprofits and the community problems you seek to solve.

Demanding schedules often erase time for rich discussions on ideas and deeper reflection on our role as philanthropists. Let Maryland Philanthropy Network carve out time for you to explore new ideas and hear with what issues folks are wrestling. Each third Wednesday of the month (Jan-Apr), our conversation will spring from a short and unique reading assignment from outside philanthropy. Open to all Maryland Philanthropy Network members.
