Impact Investing: Opportunities for Project Based Investments

Impact Investing: Opportunities for Project Based Investments

Thursday, September 14, 2017, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Please join us for the fourth workshop on impact investing through our partnership with Mission Investors Exchange.

We will be learning together about project based investments, both locally and nationally, focused on two different issue areas: housing and the environment.

Housing: We will be joined by Gretchen Greiner-Lott from the Washington Regional Maryland Philanthropy Network of Grantmakers and Rachel Reilly Carroll from Enterprise Community Partners to learn about an initiative called Our Region, Your Investment in Washington, DC. This impact investing initiative is working to address the affordable housing crisis in the DC Metro region.  For more details on the initiative see here: https://www.washingtongrantmakers.org/OurRegionYourInvestment

Environment: In Maryland, we have an established green bank in the Montgomery County Green Bank, as well as a start up here in Baltimore! We will be joined by Tom Deyo and Bonnie Norman from the Montgomery County Green Bank, Lynn Heller representing the start up here in Baltimore, and Jeff Schub at the Coalition for Green Capital who supports these efforts nationally! http://coalitionforgreencapital.com/

Stay tuned for more details!
