Foundations on the Hill 2024
The 21st Annual Foundations on the Hill (FOTH), hosted and presented by United Philanthropy Forum in partnership with Independent Sector and the Council on Foundations, is the largest annual public policy and advocacy conference dedicated solely to the philanthropic sector.
Year after year, FOTH has demonstrated that when sector advocates and leaders come together and speak to Congress in a unified voice, we can make a lasting impact by promoting a strong sector and advocating for vibrant, healthy, and equitable communities across the country.
Now, as a full public policy conference, in addition to meeting with legislators and government officials, FOTH attendees will be able to attend pre-conference programming, conference keynotes, expert panel sessions, and several receptions.
Maryland Philanthropy Network's Director of Public Policy, Education, and Special Programs, Shanetta Martin, is leading a delegation of MPN members to attend this year and will be scheduling meetings on Capitol Hill to personally discuss their work with members of Congress.

While the philanthropic sector builds relationships with Congress year-round, FOTH is the one time a year when philanthropy comes together to speak with one voice to our elected leaders about the unique and vital role that charitable giving plays in America. At FOTH, we use our influence to persuade our elected officials to support critically important legislation for our sector and our communities and inform them about the unique and vital role that charitable giving plays in America. Foundations on the Hill 2024 programming will take place at the JW Marriott Washington DC, located at 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20004. The hotel is within walking distance of the White House and the National Mall. It is a short 10-minute drive to the Hill and less than a 5-minute walk to the Metro Center metro station. Rooms are available at the discounted rate of $329/night through February 5, 2024. Reservations can be made online.
