Foundations on the Hill 2020

Foundations on the Hill 2020

Monday, March 09, 2020, 12:00 - 12:00 AM

Foundations on the Hill (FOTH), presented by United Philanthropy Forum, is a multi-day event that brings together foundation leaders from across the country to DC for meetings with Congress about key issues of importance to foundations and philanthropy. Foundation trustees and staff work with their regional association to schedule meetings on Capitol Hill to personally discuss their work with members of Congress.

The purpose of #FOTH20 is to:

  • Inform and educate Congress about philanthropy
  • Create visibility for foundations and philanthropy on Capitol Hill
  • Advocate on issues affecting foundations
  • Encourage Congress to view foundations as resources on key public policy issues
  • Build relationships between philanthropy and lawmakers

While the philanthropic sector builds relationships with Congress year-round, FOTH is the one time a year when philanthropy comes together to speak with one voice to our elected leaders about the unique and vital role that charitable giving plays in America. Please contact Yinka Bode-George if you have questions or are interested in participating.

Foundations on the Hill 2020 programming will take place at the JW Marriott Washington DC, located at 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20004. The hotel is within walking distance of the White House and National Mall. It is a short 10-minute drive to the Hill and less than a 5-minute walk to the Metro Center metro station.
