Basic Human Needs Affinity Group: Sharing and Planning Session

Basic Human Needs Affinity Group: Sharing and Planning Session

Monday, January 29, 2018, 2:30 - 4:00 PM

The Basic Human Needs Affinity Group seeks to raise awareness about critical human service needs, to share information about new and current strategies to keep vulnerable residents from falling into crisis, and to foster the coordination of services among providers. For the purpose of this affinity group, basic needs are defined as: housing, food, emergency financial assistance to avert crisis (e.g. rent or utility assistance), and legal aid or other services that help eligible clients access public benefits.

Join our new chairperson, Angie McAllister of the United Way of Central Maryland, and other grantmakers interested in basic human needs to share with each other current focus areas and grant information. Together we will plan learning programs for the Basic Human Needs Affinity Group in 2018 and discuss opportunities for action.

Members are encouraged to bring printed information about their grantmaking, special projects, or funded research. Please forward to ehyleck@marylandphilanthropy.org for assistance with copying.

This event is for Maryland Philanthropy Network members only.
