The 2017 Annual Meeting of the Maryland Philanthropy Network

"Community Engagement: the Critical Lever for Sustainable Change" keynote address by: Paul Schmitz, CEO, Leading Inside Out

Maryland Philanthropy Network annually invites our members and partners to celebrate our region's community of grantmakers and elect our board members. Each year a keynote address serves to inspire and challenge local philanthropy to work smartly and passionately to improve community conditions.

We are especially pleased to welcome Paul Schmitz, CEO of Leading Inside Out, a nonprofit and philanthropic advisory firm. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to the Collective Impact Forum and an Innovation Fellow at Georgetown University’s Beeck Center for Social Innovation and Impact. Paul is the author of Everyone Leads: Building Leadership from the Community Up. Paul previously served as CEO of the national leadership development organization Public Allies, was a social innovation advisor to the White House, and has been named three separate years to The Nonprofit Times list of the 50 most influential nonprofit leaders in America.
