Please join the Green Funders Affinity Group to hear outcomes from this year’s legislative session to gain insight into a range of environmental legislative campaigns and understand political forces and policy debates that shape Maryland’s environment. Topics will include climate and environmental bills, the clean energy jobs and renewable portfolio standards campaigns, water quality monitoring efforts, septics and well bills, and others.

It’s time for Maryland Philanthropy Network’s peer learning exchange for arts and culture funders! This year, we’ll gather over a cuppa for a lightly structured peer-to-peer exchange on a handful of topics, including the Maryland State Arts Council's new Arts Capital grant program. We’ll also discuss some group “business” like the possibility of doing a comprehensive grant survey. We encourage you to bring your burning questions, strategic ponderings or interesting projects to raise with the group.
This peer group is focused on topics related to community greening, sustainability, climate change, and environmental protection. Group discussions are often cross-sectoral, examining the impact of environmental issues on community development, human health, or economic welfare. Participating members come from a wide range of grant-making backgrounds and diverse areas of expertise.

Michael Bigley is the Director of the Venable Foundation, one of the largest law firm foundations in the country.
