Knowledge Management Consultancy

Goals and Objectives:

The primary intent of the consultancy is to help the Middendorf Foundation implement knowledge management and data migration functions. The consultant, under the direction of the Executive Director, will support the activities noted below:

  • Review paper files to select resources that meet the selection criteria for the Grants Lifestyle Management Portal.
  • Scan, classify, and tag selected documents according to a common taxonomy.
  • Support development and delivery of training on Knowledge Portal curation.
  • Support data entry of other information as needed.
  • Attend meetings and report progress to the Executive Director.
  • Other administrative duties assigned based on the Foundation’s needs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Recently completed or pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • Demonstrated interest in knowledge and information management
  • Non-profit experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with online databases preferred.
  • Strong leadership capability and potential, a strong work ethic and an interest in public service or civic engagement
  • Strong verbal communication and writing skills
  • Creativity and resourcefulness
  • The highest standards of professionalism and behavior
  • Personal initiative and determination
  • Attention to detail and the ability to develop and work within project plans and timelines
  • Flexibility and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • The ability to work as a member of a team

 

Payment:

This consultant will be compensated $20/hour and will require work at our offices at 6301 North Charles Street in Baltimore, Maryland. The consultant will likely work for the months of June, July, and August for an average of 10-20 hours a week, hours could be flexible.
