The Community Foundation of Frederick County is looking for their next full-time Director of Marketing and Communications to continue their tradition of excellence in this role.

What this job entails:

• This is a full-time salaried/exempt position with the Community Foundation serving Frederick, Maryland
• Being part of the organization’s leadership team and reports directly to the CEO
• Working closely with the CEO and other leaders to tell the success stories of the Community Foundation via press releases, monthly newsletters, annual reports and other marketing print media
• Creating communications using both the latest technology and other seasoned methods
• Using photography and video to share stories of success via social and print media
• Updating and editing of web site to ensure most recent and accurate information appears
• Understanding philanthropic giving methods and the important role that nonprofits play in our community
• Consistent promotion of events and other activities of the organization
• Managing the Community Foundation’s social media presence

Successful candidates will have:

• Minimum of three to five years in a Public Relations/Marketing/Communications field
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, PR, Marketing or related field
• Exceptional writing skills
• Strong attention to detail and constant concern for the quality of publications produced
• Use of an annual budget allotment to create and implement an annual marketing and public relations plan
• Supervision of one support person and work closely with all other departments to ensure alignment of organizational activities and subsequent communications

This position offers:

• Annual salary of $80,000 - $90,000
